| Anybody who is familiar with Homesite will feel at home
with this. The interface can be set depending on your ability, and there is a module available to have an
integrated ftp facility. The program comes with loads of pre-coded scripts so ideal for Web Design & HTML - Download Evrsoft 1st Page
HTML editor!
FirstPage 2006 has been designed with professional web development in mind. You are able to
Create, Edit and deploy websites with absolute ease and precision. The integrated tools empower web developers to
develop standards-based web documents, quickly and easily.
This is free, versatile, includes numerous tools, and takes the tedium out of typing in the
coding. But it hasn't got a wysiwyg interface. Can be linked to a browser to give you up-to-the-minute views of
your creation. If you want a cheap (very) HTML editor give this a go. Visit their website as there are plenty of plug-ins for it as well.
A set of invaluable tools for use with the creation of HTML help files. I advise you to visit
the website to find out more about the utilities that KeyTools has. I find the most useful is the ability to
decompile the help file and create a project file at the same time.
A useful program for somebody just starting out in the world of HTML and wanting to learn a bit
of coding. It has been built using Java so as not to be "Windows" dependent. At the last time of looking there did
not seem to be any recent updates to the software but the site is well worth a visit to see the other tools that
are available.
It is Java based so OS independent.
FAR has just been released as version 5.0 and the trial version lasts for 60 days. The creator
states people who help him find the bugs in this initial release will get a full license free (value $72)
This, I believe, started as a utility to remove the extra code that Microsoft FrontPage puts in
before the files were used for help files. I use it all the time now as a front end to HTML Help
Workshop.
The Find And Replace options are incredible, just drop all the files in the FAR window, select
the options you want and the find/replace requirements and off it goes, so simple. You can also use a batch mode to
automate such actions as link checking, compilation of help files, and report generation.
