It is now on version 12 and is available in two modes, standard and professional.
Note that this is not a free upgrade though but there is a discount for registered users of previous versions. This
version allows you to split files you have zipped up into smaller portions to let you put them onto disk or to get
inside the email file size restrictions. I find this more useful than the disk spanning feature of previous
versions where I normally ended up zipping up the required files, finding the resulting zip file was too large and
then have to do it again with the span disk feature checked. The only other advantage it seems to have over the
compression utility built into the Windows OS is that you can password protect the zipped files. Visit the site for
more information.
Version control software for nothing. This can be used as a command line tool and is easy to
use and understand. It can be built into the Word and Homesite toolbars to name two but I also run it from my
desktop and a right click on a file will ask you if you want to lock it into the RCS system. I suggest you visit
their website and find out more. I find it invaluable while people are coming to me and saying can we have a print
out please, I can archive the version each individual has got if needs be to stay on track with what's going
on.
This is a very handy graphics utility and with all the graphics I have to handle its thumbnail
viewer saves me hours. You can view graphics (most formats) at regular size and as thumbnails . It has a built
batch conversion utility and you can launch an external editor from within the program for the last minute tweaks
before it goes into the document. Oh, and did I mention it is free. Well worth a look.
This program is so easy to use and fills out forms for you with just a click of the mouse, you
can send a number of profiles and use whatever is appropriate for the form you are completing. It will save
passwords for you, it is just a great timesaver. No hidden spyware, does not pop up ads in my face or grab
information from me. Most importantly, it simply works well.
