FrameMaker Utilities
Omsys are the creators of Mif2Go, streamlines the export of FrameMaker files to numerous different formats; and you have control. No changes are made to your original document during the conversion either, in my mind the ultimate single-sourcing utility. Not suitable for people who cannot cope if there isn't a GUI.
Microtype
This site contains more answers and utilities for the creation of pdf files from Framemaker then you ever knew there were questions. Look at the Timesavers utility, it will give you great control over the kind of the pdf you produce. Requires a bit of script editing but nothing too daunting.
SiliconPrairieSoftware
This site contains plugins to control paragraph formats, master page usage, autotext and the generation of indexes. All very useful and timesaving.
Framescript
Create your own macros with this FrameMaker specific programming language. On purchasing the software you get sample and demo scripts and there are others available from various sources on the Internet.
Frameexpert
Rick Quatro's site contains, among other things, utilities such as table cleaner that can be purchased. He also has a bundle of Framescripts available for purchase. Well worth a visit
Frameusers
The definitive site for users of FrameMaker. I find the most interesting section is that of resources where you can find all the utilities that people have created for FrameMaker, some free and some not so free. It also gives you access to the Frameusers newsgroup and its associated newsletter.
Cudspan
Contains freeware utilities for Framemaker. The CudSpan plugins extend the capabilities of FrameMaker in ways I have found to be very useful.
Sandybrook
Sandybrook offer a program called Enhance, and that is exactly what it does to FrameMaker. It allows you to have an outline view of the document, drag and drop editing, template management and much more. There is an excellent view where a sidebar is given to show you the paragraph tags used.
