First of all, thanks for taking the time to visit and look around my site.

I have been a technical author since 1984 writing in all kinds of environments about all sorts of equipment. In my time I have written about lawnmowers, bakers ovens, desktop computers, flight simulators, financial software, helpdesk software, in fact the list is endless.

I have been fortunate to have worked in France, Switzerland, Belgium and The Netherlands as well as my native Great Britain.

My preferred tool is FrameMaker as it serves all my needs, I can use it to create heavy duty manuals and online help systems using the conditional text feature. I must admit I am starting to change allegiance to AuthorIT. This is because I think it will become accepted in most areas of business due to the compatibility it has with "Word". And of course it has incredible single-sourcing features.
